The Forsmark 1 reactor, part of the nuclear power plant located north of Stockholm, was temporarily shut down due to a malfunction, according to reports from the Swedish press. The operator Vattenfall announced that repair work began Tuesday morning, after the reactor's maintenance had been completed last week. Currently, Sweden has three nuclear power plants with a total of six reactors, which contribute approximately 30% to the country's electricity production. Forsmark 1, operational since 1980, is part of the Swedish government's strategy to expand nuclear energy as a solution for an ecological transition.
