U.S. District Judge Richard Berman ruled that Donald Trump's government has not shown special circumstances to justify lifting the attorney-client privilege on the Jeffrey Epstein documents. Although Trump had requested the release of the relevant testimony, Berman emphasized that the government already possesses a large amount of information and that disclosure could compromise the safety of victims. The judge called the administration's request a "diversion" and reaffirmed that grand jury documents are normally kept secret.
