Europe's largest photovoltaic park has opened in Germany, with a capacity of 605 MWp.

The Witznitz solar park in eastern Germany was inaugurated just 22 months after construction began. The project was carried out by investment firm Hansainvest Real Assets and its partner Move On Energy. The park consists of ten sections and has 1.1 million solar panels covering more than 500 hectares.
