Simtel Team has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth approximately €17.5 million, excluding VAT, with Vienna Energy Forță Naturală, a Romanian renewable energy company wholly owned by Wien Energie Internațional, part of the Austrian energy group Wien Energie.

The project involves developing a solar power plant in the Bărăbanț area of Alba Iulia, Alba County, as well as building the associated high-voltage substation. The contract was announced on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and represents a new stage in Simtel Team’s expansion in the renewable energy projects segment.

Under the agreement, Simtel Team will handle all the main stages of the EPC project: the design, supply of equipment, construction, installation, commissioning and testing of the solar power plant and electrical substation.

The construction period is estimated at approximately 16 months from the official notification to begin the works, according to the schedule agreed by the two companies. The contract covers both the works for the solar energy generation facility and the infrastructure required to connect it to the high-voltage grid.
