European companies, especially in the automotive industry, are facing big losses ahead of the 30% tariffs announced by the US. Volkswagen, Stellantis and Volvo Cars have reported significant drops in profits, while other companies such as Remy Cointreau and Nokia have revised their financial forecasts downwards. Despite negotiations with Washington, a trade deal is not finalized and the EU is preparing retaliatory measures. Analysts warn of the potential inflationary impact, forecasting 0% inflation for basic goods in the eurozone by 2026.
