A drone struck a train carriage carrying nearly 200 passengers in the Kharkiv region of eastern Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of five people. The attack has been attributed to Russia, according to Ukrainian authorities. Ukraine's Prime Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, announced the incident on social media, highlighting the intensification of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, leaving many Ukrainians without electricity in extreme cold conditions. In Kyiv, over 700,000 residents are facing power outages following Moscow's attacks on the capital. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack, calling it terrorism and emphasized that there is no military justification for killing civilians. He urged allies to increase pressure on Moscow to end the war, warning that such attacks undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts.
