Dozens of tigers and lions held in captivity at two sites in southern Vietnam have died from bird flu. Tests showed the H5N1 strain was present in the animals. Authorities suspect the animals became infected from sick birds that had been fed chicken before they died. The World Health Organization's warning about eating raw meat or eggs from bird flu areas was underlined in the context of the deaths.
