The CSAT meeting convened by Nicușor Dan discussed the National Defense Strategy 2025-2030, risks for 2026, and EU support for Ukraine.

The meeting of the Supreme Council for National Defense (CSAT), convened by President Nicușor Dan, has concluded, addressing essential topics for national security. On the agenda of the meeting were the National Defense Strategy for the period 2025-2030, the analysis of activities in the first seven months of 2025 in preventing drug trafficking, as well as risk and threat assessments for 2026.

Additionally, there was a discussion about Romania's participation in the NATO crisis management exercise 'CMX-25'. Nicușor Dan reaffirmed, during an informal meeting of EU leaders, the firm support of the European Union for Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of European unity in the peace process. This was the last CSAT meeting in a series of meetings dedicated to national security, taking place after a two-month break.
