CNAIR changes the schedule on Transalpina / Traffic will be allowed between 09:00 and 18:00

The National Road Infrastructure Management Company (CNAIR) is changing, starting Saturday, September 26, the traffic schedule on Transalpina due to unfavorable weather conditions recorded at altitudes above 1,500 meters.

On the DN67C section between Rânca, at kilometer 34+800, and Obârșia Lotrului, at kilometer 59+800, traffic will be allowed daily only between 09:00 and 18:00. Until now, traffic had been open until 20:00.

CNAIR recommends that road users comply with traffic signs and plan their journeys according to the new schedule. The measure has been adopted amid worsening weather in high-altitude mountain areas, where rain, sleet and snow, as well as strong winds and low temperatures, have been reported in recent days.

The restriction applies to one of Romania’s highest roads and may be adjusted depending on weather developments and traffic safety.
