DeepSeek, a Chinese artificial intelligence company, is suspected by US officials of providing technological support to China's military and intelligence services, including by sharing user data. Although it has announced high performance AI models at low cost, these achievements are believed to be based on illegally obtained US chips. In addition, DeepSeek is under investigation for possible breaches of cybersecurity and data protection laws, and the allegations could escalate tensions between the US and China.
