In this context, the company has decided to enroll in the government program 'Kurzarbeit', which allows for a reduction in working hours and provides financial support for the salaries of affected employees, thus avoiding layoffs. In Salzgitter, between 300 and 400 of the 1,300 employees could be affected, and in Ansbach, up to 650 out of 2,500 employees. Bosch is collaborating with the supplier Nexperia, which has suspended exports of components, to find alternative supply solutions and minimize the impact on production. Additionally, the disruptions also affect the plant in Braga, Portugal, where 2,500 out of 3,500 employees have reduced hours.
