<p>Australian women who were subjected to invasive body checks by armed Qatar Airways guards have won the right to sue the airline after a court overturned an earlier decision to dismiss. The incident occurred in 2020 when the women, including 13 Australians, were forcibly screened after a newborn baby was found abandoned. They accused the company of negligence and assault, seeking compensation for mental health effects. The court found the case complex and worth hearing.
