United Airlines and Delta Air Lines are facing a class action lawsuit in which one million passengers claim they were misled by booking 'window' seats that, in fact, did not offer any window.

The lawsuit, initiated in federal courts in San Francisco and Brooklyn, argues that these companies did not inform customers that certain seats on Boeing 737, Boeing 757, and Airbus A321 aircraft are located next to interior walls, without a view to the outside. Judge James Donato dismissed United's arguments, stating that the terms and information provided at the time of booking promised seats with a view.

United has announced that it will improve information about seats on its website, while Delta has declined to comment on the litigation. The plaintiffs are seeking millions of dollars in damages, claiming they paid extra to reduce anxiety or enjoy the views.
