Australia will invest 12 billion Australian dollars to transform the Henderson shipyard into a center capable of building nuclear submarines, in the context of the Aukus agreement with the United Kingdom and the USA. The renovations will include equipment for submarine maintenance and the construction of landing ships and frigates. The total cost of development could reach 25 billion Australian dollars.
