The London police announced a total of 43 arrests following two marches, one organized by the far right, titled 'Unite the Kingdom', and another pro-Palestinian. Among those arrested, 20 were detained during the far-right march, and 12 during the pro-Palestinian demonstration.
The police deployed a crowd control operation with nearly 4,000 officers, also considering the FA Cup final. Of those arrested, 11 were detained for incitement to hatred.
The pro-Palestinian demonstration was organized to commemorate 'Nakba', the period in which approximately 760,000 Palestinian Arabs from Palestine were expelled from their homes in 1948. The Palestine Solidarity Campaign estimated a turnout of 250,000 people, while far-right leader Tommy Robinson claimed that 'millions' attended his march. The police stated that estimating the number of participants is difficult, relying on drone footage and video surveillance.
