Bucharest police have detained 22 individuals accused of drug trafficking and psychoactive substances, targeting young clients with above-average incomes, attending luxury events. The action took place following 27 home searches conducted on June 4, as part of an investigation into the establishment of an organized criminal group.
The group, consisting of 30 members, was involved in the sale of drugs, including cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy, and other psychoactive substances. During the searches, approximately 500 grams of cannabis, 70 grams of cocaine, and various other substances were confiscated, as well as two illegally held air guns. The police proposed the preventive arrest of the 22 detained individuals, and the action was supported by the General Directorate of Police of Bucharest and the Gendarmerie.
