Four members of a football gallery have been arrested, being suspected of having assaulted a Pakistani citizen.

The General Directorate of Police of Bucharest has executed four search warrants in Bucharest and Buzău County, as part of a criminal case involving five men, aged between 30 and 51, suspected of disturbing public order and violence. The incident occurred on August 2, 2026, when the five, members of a football fan group, assaulted a Pakistani man while heading to the stadium.

The conflict erupted after the victim's girlfriend filmed the fan group, and the man intervened, provoking a violent reaction from the attackers. The police intervened to restore order, and following the searches, four of the suspects were detained for 24 hours.

The authorities continue the search for the identification of the fifth suspect. The investigations are being conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sector 6 Court.
