The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced on Monday that the salary and tariff system for on-call services will undergo significant changes, focusing on performance. He emphasized that there will no longer be a uniform increase in income, but rather a correlation of salaries with individual results. Rogobete explained that, although it is necessary to protect both patients and medical staff, it is essential to have mutual respect between the two parties. The minister acknowledged that there are inappropriate behaviors among some doctors and mentioned that social pressure affects medical staff.

He also stated that the number of doctors leaving the healthcare system has started to decrease, and recent measures have been taken to encourage their return to the country. Rogobete emphasized that incomes will be correlated with performance, highlighting the discrepancies between doctors with intensive activity and those with reduced activity.
