The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, will make a visit to Washington D.C. between April 14 and 18, 2026, where he will have strategic meetings with representatives of the World Bank and major companies in the health sector. The purpose of the discussions will be to finance and reform the healthcare system in Romania, as well as to improve patient access to modern treatments.

Among the scheduled meetings are discussions with Eli Lilly about cancer treatment, meetings with Pfizer and GEHealthCare, as well as participation in round tables focusing on healthcare system reforms. The visit aligns with the authorities' efforts to turn the financial losses from the COVID-19 vaccine case into a real benefit for patients, ensuring their access to essential treatments that are currently lacking in the public system.
