On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, paid a visit to the Maternity and Neonatology Department at the Bucharest Emergency University Hospital. He wanted to be present "where life begins" and to show his appreciation for the hospitalized patients and the women in the medical staff by offering them flowers. Rogobete emphasized the importance of empathy and respect in the healthcare system, acknowledging that it is not perfect and that there is still much to be done.

He stated that simple gestures, along with investments and reforms, can contribute to strengthening the healthcare system in Romania. The Minister highlighted two fundamental principles: respect for medical staff and empathy towards patients, emphasizing that they should not feel like a burden when they arrive at the hospital.
