10 Years since Colectiv | Minister of Health: "I promise that I have not forgotten and that Romania will be able to treat major burns in modern centers, built with care and dignity"

On the 10th anniversary of the Colectiv fire, the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, sent an emotional message, acknowledging the pain and shame felt by the Romanian medical system. He emphasized that, although years have passed without the construction of centers for burn victims starting, work began in 2022. Romania is currently building three modern centers, and the one in Timișoara will be completed this year. The minister promised that the country will be able to treat burn victims with dignity, recalling the sacrifices of the doctors and nurses who supported the healthcare system during difficult times. Rogobete expressed regret for the previous negligence and honored the memory of those who perished in the tragedy.
