Prof. univ. dr. Victoria Aramă, head of the department at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases 'Prof. Dr. Matei Balș' and president of the Romanian Society for Vaccination Strategies, emphasized on January 22, in Bucharest, the negative impact of advertisements for dietary supplements that contain the word 'immuno' on vaccination. She explained that these campaigns mislead the population, which may believe that natural supplements provide equivalent protection to vaccines, which can lead to a decrease in vaccination rates.
The statements were made in the context of presenting a survey on the attitudes of parents and grandparents towards the flu vaccination of children, conducted by INSCOP Research, at an event organized at the Palace of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest.
