The former CCR judge, Tudorel Toader, believes that the arguments that led to the elimination of Diana Șoșoaca from the presidential race can also apply to Călin Georgescu.

Tudorel Toader explained that although Călin Georgescu is not barred from running in the presidential elections, there is a possibility that the Constitutional Court will not admit his candidacy. He emphasized that even if a criminal candidate does not directly influence the candidacy, the constitutional judges will take into account this side of the criminal investigation.
