Mircea Abrudean, the president of the Senate, stated that the high score obtained by the AUR candidate for the Capital City Hall is a "wake-up call" for the governing coalition, emphasizing that citizens expect concrete results. Abrudean mentioned that the efficiency of the coalition's activity needs to be improved, considering that people no longer want just promises, but actions. He highlighted that Ciprian Ciucu's victory will strengthen Ilie Bolojan's position in PNL and expressed hope that Ciucu will have a similar impact in Bucharest as Bolojan in Oradea.
