The Romanian government has adopted a decision to introduce a QR code on some educational documents for pre-university education, a measure that will come into effect in the 2026-2027 school year. The spokesperson for the Executive, Ioana Dogioiu, announced details about the types of information and the format of the educational documents that will be issued to graduates and teaching staff.
This initiative comes in the context of reforms in education, with the Ministry of Education already having approved 320 new high school programs, which complement the 90 already existing. These programs include subjects such as Mathematics, Information Technology, and intensive studies of modern languages.
Additionally, programs for the specialized curriculum in the theological field have been approved, covering all recognized denominations. These measures are part of the efforts to modernize the Romanian educational system.
