The decision was justified by the need to combat the ignorance and manipulation that can arise from ignorance of history, given the impact of historical events on the present. The subject will cover aspects of repression and resistance, as well as everyday life during the communist period, and is conceived as an objective presentation of the facts. The minister emphasized that it is important for students to understand the events that marked the past and still influence the present.
