The government approved a financing contract of 500 million euros with the EIB for the works on the A1 Highway, Sibiu-Pitești section.

The contract of 500 million euros with the European Investment Bank will support the works on the A1 Highway, section Sibiu-Pitești, being part of a financial assistance package totaling 1 billion euros. The funding will co-finance the cohesion funds of the European Union, and the loan will be signed in October 2025. The project has already received 1.8 billion euros in non-reimbursable external funds, having a total value of approximately 5.4 billion euros.
