The general director of CNAIR, Cristian Pistol, announced that the physical progress of the works on section 4 of the Sibiu-Pitești highway (Curtea de Argeș - Tigveni) has reached 83%.

The Austrian contractor Porr is working with 550 workers and 170 machines. Recently, the structural framework for the two galleries of the Momaia tunnel has been completed, and now safety installations are being mounted. Soon, the pouring of road concrete in the galleries will begin. Additionally, work is ongoing on the asphalting of several sectors and the completion of the bridges. Although the contractual deadline for completion is 2027, if the current pace is maintained, traffic could be opened in 2026. The contract is valued at 1.54 billion lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027.
