Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced that Romgaz signed the contract for the acquisition of the Azomureș platform on Friday for the sum of 69 million euros. This acquisition is essential for saving the production of agricultural fertilizers in Romania and will contribute to stabilizing prices for farmers in the coming years. Of the total amount, over 46 million euros represents the value of the plant, while the rest is divided between raw materials and consumable stocks, as well as the costs necessary for maintaining the operation of the plant and paying salaries for the next two months. Bolojan emphasized that a few more approvals are needed to finalize the transaction, including the approval of the General Meeting of Shareholders of Romgaz and the opinion of the Competition Council. This acquisition is considered one of the most important transactions in recent years, having a significant impact on the national economy and the employees in Mureș County.
