Romgaz reported declining hydrocarbon production, but also increases in condensate and electricity, in the first nine months of 2026

Romgaz recorded total hydrocarbon production of 23.49 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe) in the first nine months of the year, down 1.99% from the same period in 2025, according to a preliminary report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Gross natural gas production stood at 23.14 million boe, equivalent to approximately 3.6 billion cubic meters, 2.06% below the level reported last year. By contrast, condensate production rose 3.72% to 343,000 boe.

The amount of natural gas from domestic production marketed by the company reached 3.425 billion cubic meters, down 5.62% from the first nine months of 2025.

In the energy segment, Romgaz produced 484.1 GWh of electricity, 0.83% more than in the comparison period. Natural gas withdrawn from storage increased 19.25% to 1.49 billion cubic meters, while the volume injected fell 15.49% to 1.729 billion cubic meters.

Romgaz carries out natural gas exploration and production, supply and distribution, well services, and electricity generation activities. The Romanian state is the majority shareholder, holding 70.0071% of the capital. The company's shares have been traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since November 12, 2013.
