Romania has become the largest European exporter of cereals in the first quarter of the 2025/2026 marketing year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, which cites data from the European Commission. In the first 10 months of 2025, exports of live animals reached a record of nearly 500 million euros, with Romanian farmers demonstrating remarkable agricultural potential. The Minister of Agriculture, Florin-Ionuț Barbu, emphasized that support through subsidies and investment programs has contributed to these historic performances. Romania exported sheep worth 210 million euros, cattle worth 150 million euros, and poultry worth 100 million euros, thus strengthening its position as a reliable supplier in international markets.
