Armin Papperger, the CEO of Rheinmetall, stated that the company aims to achieve sales of approximately 50 billion euros by 2030, during a discussion with financial analysts. In 2024, Rheinmetall reported a turnover of 9.8 billion euros, an increase from 5.7 billion euros in 2021, due to the increased demand for military equipment, especially because of the war in Ukraine. The company supplies equipment to both Ukraine and NATO countries, which are replenishing their stocks and modernizing their armies. Papperger emphasized that, regardless of a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, the demand for military equipment will remain high, as NATO states intend to invest more in defense.
Additionally, Rheinmetall will focus exclusively on arms production, considering the difficulties in the automotive sector. The company has invested approximately 8 billion euros in recent years to expand production capacities and ensure the supply chain, during a period that Papperger describes as an "era of rearmament" in Europe.
