Although the National Recovery and Resilience Plan ended on August 31, Romanian authorities must finalize by November all documents and evidence concerning the use of funds, interim Minister of Investments and European Projects Dragoș Pîslaru said Tuesday at the News.ro event “SMEs, oxygen for Romania.”
The minister explained that the current period is focused on consolidating and verifying documents, as the administration has no room for error in justifying expenses and meeting the objectives assumed under the PNRR.
Pîslaru also presented several results of the program, including support for access to financing and equity-type investments. Funds backed through the PNRR contributed to the development of instruments for companies, while the banking system benefited from approximately 600 million euros in guarantees.
Another program supported the listing of two companies on the stock exchange. The minister said this experience could be expanded, including by covering listing costs. He also mentioned the future National and Regional Partnership Plan, presented as an expanded continuation of the PNRR, with an allocation of more than 60 billion euros and an implementation deadline at the end of next year.
