The Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Lamborghini reported an 8% decrease in operating profit in the first half of 2026, reaching 395 million euros, compared to 431 million euros in the same period last year.
The operating margin fell from 26.5% to 22.7%, in the context of tariffs imposed by the United States, currency fluctuations, and geopolitical tensions affecting the luxury automotive industry. However, the company's revenues increased by 7.4%, reaching a record level of 1.74 billion euros, although deliveries decreased by 4.6%, to 5,422 cars.
The Chief Financial Officer, Paolo Poma, highlighted the negative impact of U.S. tariffs and exchange rates on the results.
Despite the challenges posed by a difficult economic climate, CEO Stephan Winkelmann states that Lamborghini achieved the highest revenues in the company's history.
These results come after the Volkswagen group abandoned its sales growth target for 2026, following a 9.5% decrease in operating profit in the second quarter.
