Lamborghini has unveiled the new Urus SE Performante, a high-performance hybrid version of its luxury SUV, marking a strategic shift towards plug-in hybrid models.
This SUV, described as 'the fastest Super SUV in the world', accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h. The new model is equipped with a PHEV powertrain, which combines a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor, developing 812 horsepower and a torque of approximately 1,000 Nm. The exterior design has been enhanced, featuring a larger front grille and redesigned air intakes.
CEO Stephan Winkelmann emphasized that this model reflects the preferences of customers in the luxury supercar segment.
The Urus remains the brand's most important model, generating 50% of global sales.
Lamborghini has decided to abandon the development of a fully electric model, considering the low demand for ultra-luxury electric cars.
The price of the new Urus SE Performante will be announced before its commercial launch in the United States.
