The National Institute of Statistics (INS) reported a 1.3% decrease in industrial production in the first seven months of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, due to the decline in the manufacturing and extractive industries. Although electricity and thermal energy production increased by 0.3%, in July there was a 3.8% increase compared to the previous month, due to advances in all industrial sectors. Compared to the previous year, industrial production increased by 2.7%.
