According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), in September 2025, industrial production prices increased by 6.1% compared to September 2024 and by 0.9% compared to the previous month. The extractive industry recorded a decrease of 2.22% compared to last year, with a significant increase in coal extraction prices (7.94%), but a decrease in oil and natural gas extraction prices (8.08%).


In the processing industrial sector, prices increased by 3.80%, with the largest increases in wood processing (9.03%). The production and supply of electricity and thermal energy increased by 13.06%, while the capture and distribution of water increased by 10.21%. These data reflect the price trends in various sectors of the Romanian economy.
