According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), industrial production recorded a decrease of 1% in the first nine months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. This decrease was driven by a reduction of 1.3% in the manufacturing industry and 1% in the extractive industry, while the electricity and thermal energy sector grew by 0.5%. Adjusted for working days and seasonality, the decrease was 0.6%. In September 2025, industrial production increased significantly by 20.7% compared to the previous month, due to advances in the manufacturing industry (+26.7%). Compared to September 2024, industrial production increased by 2.6%, supported by the manufacturing industry (+3.1%), while the extractive industry and the energy sector recorded declines.
