The National Institute of Statistics (INS) reported a 1% decrease in industrial production in the first nine months of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, influenced by declines in the manufacturing industry (-1.3%) and the extractive industry (-1%). However, the production and supply of electricity and thermal energy, gas, hot water, and air conditioning increased by 0.5%. In September 2025, industrial production increased by 20.7% compared to the previous month, due to advances in the manufacturing industry (+26.7%).
Compared to September 2024, industrial production increased by 2.6%, supported by the manufacturing industry (+3.1%), while the extractive industry and energy production recorded declines. Seasonally adjusted production was 0.2% higher than the same month of the previous year.
