The shares of Hidroelectrica reached a new historic high, trading at 138.40 lei, the highest level since July 12, 2023, when the company was listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. This share price has brought Hidroelectrica's market capitalization to 62.3 billion lei, marking an appreciation of approximately 14% in the period from September 1, 2025, to January 27, 2026. The CEO, Bogdan Badea, emphasized that the positive evolution reflects the company's performance and the market's confidence in its investment plans.

Recently, important strategic initiatives were approved, including the establishment of a joint venture with EDF Power Solutions for the development of the Tarnița Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Plant. Hidroelectrica, the main electricity producer in Romania, owns 188 hydropower plants and a wind farm, with the Romanian state as the main shareholder.
