The price of gold has reached its highest level in the last month, approaching the records of the year, in the context of escalating conflict in the Middle East, which has caused turmoil in financial markets. On Monday, the gold quote rose by 2.7%, exceeding $5,400 per ounce, before falling after the opening of the US stock market. Geopolitical tensions and the agitation caused by President Donald Trump in international relations contributed to this increase, supported by massive purchases by central banks and investor fears related to inflation. Risk aversion has led to declines in global stock markets, and US government bonds have been affected by concerns about the impact of higher oil prices. Analysts estimate that gold will continue to benefit from geopolitical instability and risk aversion, with its price increasing by about 25% this year.
