The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns that a strike announced in France’s aviation sector, from October 17–21, could cause disruptions to flights and public, road, and rail transport. The protests could particularly affect major cities and areas near the infrastructure concerned.

According to the MFA, the demonstrations could include blockades or targeted actions at intersections, roundabouts, fuel stations, railway hubs, and oil depots. Under these circumstances, traffic could be disrupted, and transport schedules could be subject to change.

Romanians with planned journeys are advised to check the latest information before departure and follow announcements from airlines and the airports of departure or arrival. The MFA recommends consulting the institution’s website, the pages of diplomatic missions in France, and the “Travel Informed” application.

For consular assistance, Romanian citizens can contact the Consulate General of Romania in Paris at +331 4705 2966 and +331 4705 2755. For urgent situations, the telephone numbers of the consulates in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, and Strasbourg are also available.
