Pavel Cechal, vice-president at PBS Group, highlights difficulties in recruiting staff, although the firm has enough orders to double its workforce. The problem is affecting many companies in the defense industry looking to hire AI specialists, engineers and welders. Rising wages aren't enough to attract workers from other sectors, and firms have begun working with schools to train future employees. With defense spending rising, Europe is expected to need hundreds of thousands of skilled workers in the coming years.
