The standard diesel price has dropped after midnight, as a result of the excise tax reduction decided by the Government, which means a decrease of approximately 36 bani per liter. In major cities, the new rates vary depending on the company, and the authorities assure that there is currently no risk of a fuel or gasoline crisis. The situation was discussed at Cotroceni with industry representatives, who confirmed that the flows are normal.

However, there are still concerns regarding international developments, especially after the attacks on oil infrastructure in Russia. Although external signals indicate a possible short-term stabilization, potential disruptions in fuel transportation could lead to price increases in the future, especially in the context of tensions in the Middle East and the conflict in the region.
