Dacia Automobile reported a turnover of approximately 29.9 billion lei for the year 2025, marking a 7.6% increase compared to the previous year. However, the company is abandoning the project to expand production capacity in Mioveni and is redirecting its strategy towards efficiency and profitability.
Dacia's financial performance comes in a challenging economic context for the European auto industry and the local market. The company's financial director announced that, despite positive results, Dacia will reduce investments and implement a new industrial strategy. This change is intended to respond to current challenges and ensure better adaptation to market demands. Dacia thus aims to improve operational efficiency and focus on innovation, while continuing to strengthen its market position.
Mihai Bordeanu, Managing Director Dacia Brand South Eastern Europe & Country Head Romania at Groupe Renault, will have a meeting today at the Government with interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. The discussions will focus on the evolution of the auto market, industrial investments, and strengthening production in Romania, in the context of current economic and technological challenges.
