OMV Petrom intends to acquire 50% of the shares of Electrocentrale Borzești from RNV Infrastructure. The transaction is subject to authorization by the Competition Council.

Electrocentrale Borzești owns renewable projects with a capacity of about 1 GW, of which 950 MW wind and 50 MW photovoltaic. The companies wholly owned by Electrocentrale Borzești are pursuing the development of several renewable electricity generation capacities.
