Starting in January, Spain will introduce a monthly subscription for travelers at the national level, costing 60 euros, announced by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. This subscription will allow citizens to use all medium-distance trains, suburban trains, and national buses. Young people under 26 will benefit from a reduced price of 30 euros. Sanchez emphasized that this measure aims to facilitate access to public transport and support families in the face of inflation, which is currently at 3%. The Prime Minister stated that approximately two million people will be able to travel more easily for work and daily activities. The initiative will come into effect in the second half of January, as part of Spain's commitment to sustainable mobility. In comparison, Germany offers a similar subscription, priced at 63 euros, which will increase from January 1.
