Raisa Enachi leaves the „United for Romania” group and becomes an unaffiliated MP

Deputy Raisa Enachi announced to the Standing Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies on Monday that, starting September 1, 2026, she is resigning from the “United for Romania” Parliamentary Group. As of the same date, the parliamentarian will carry out her work as an unaffiliated deputy.

The “United for Romania” Group emerged in May 2026, following the official renaming of the Party of Young People (POT) group in the Chamber of Deputies. The reconfiguration took place amid political changes and departures from the party. Former Prime Minister Victor Ponta is also a member of the group.

Raisa Enachi obtained her first term as a deputy in 2020, when she ran in Vaslui on the lists of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians. In February 2024, she left AUR and joined S.O.S. Romania. She was reelected for a new parliamentary term in the December 2024 elections, and in August 2025 she also resigned from this party.

By withdrawing from the parliamentary group, Enachi retains her mandate as a deputy, but will no longer be affiliated with a political group in the Chamber of Deputies.
