Claudiu Năsui resigns from the Chamber of Deputies, and Mihai Alexandru Badea will take over his mandate as a deputy for Bucharest

USR deputy Claudiu Năsui has resigned from the Chamber of Deputies following his appointment as Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization in the Government of the Republic of Moldova. His seat as a Bucharest deputy is to be taken over by Mihai Alexandru Badea, the next person on the USR candidate list for the Chamber of Deputies.

Năsui’s resignation will leave the seat vacant, and Badea will enter Parliament following the procedure provided by law. The plenary of the Chamber of Deputies will vote on Wednesday on the resolutions concerning the termination of Claudiu Năsui’s mandate and the validation of Mihai Alexandru Badea’s mandate.

The change comes in the context of Năsui’s appointment to a ministerial position in the Government of the Republic of Moldova. Until the plenary vote, the deputy’s seat will officially remain vacant, and the new lawmaker will be able to exercise his duties after the resolution is adopted and the parliamentary procedures are completed.
