A 24-year-old man has been detained for assault after he shot a 58-year-old man with a pellet gun.

A 24-year-old man from Tecuci was apprehended by the police after he fired a plastic pellet gun at a 58-year-old man, causing injuries to his abdomen and left hand. The incident took place on Constantin Solomon Street, where the young man stopped his car and fired several shots at the victim.

After the attack, the assailant left the scene but was quickly intercepted by the authorities. The victim requires seven to eight days of medical care to recover. The young man will be presented to the Prosecutor's Office next to the Tecuci Court with a proposal for preventive arrest, being accused of assault or other violence, disturbing public order and peace, as well as illegal use of a weapon.
